Everyday we receive requests from individuals and community groups wanting to make a difference and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
There are a number of ways you can get involved:
Become a community fundraiser
There are many people in our community who are touched by dementia and want to help out however they can.
Throughout the year we have numerous community members who hold their own events or activities to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Australia Vic.
Our community fundraisers organise many types of events and activities, including fundraising dinners and auctions, festivals and concerts, participate in fun runs, classics and all kinds of ‘thons, theatre performances and movie nights, art shows, golf days, and the list goes on.
To facilitate these activities and to promote events to the wider community we ask you to register your event with us.
Once you are registered, visit our online site - givealzheimersaustraliavic.com.au - to build your very own fundraising page and start raising funds.
Alzheimer’s Australia Vic is able to offer advice and, dependent on resources, assistance with your event.
You can be a hero for Alzheimer's Australia Vic by building your own personal fundraising page. It only takes a few minutes to build an email to all of your contacts. Visit our Everyday Hero page to find out more.
Create an online fundraising page for Alzheimer's Australia Vic in any event, celebration or tribute. Online fundraising is fast and efficient - create a page, share and watch donations and messages from friends come into your page. You can also send a donation e-card for Christmas, Mother's Day, birthdays, in sympathy and more. To find out more about Mycause, visit the Alzheimer's Australia Vic Mycause page.
If Alzheimer's Australia Vic is a charity that is close to your heart, why not make a difference and actively fundraise on our behalf? Instead of giving platters, socks, photo frames and other material gifts, the Karma Currency initiative allows companies and individuals to give the gift of Charity Gift Vouchers. This charitable voucher can be sent to family or friends, customers or colleagues, empowering them to give a donation to the charities they care about most. In short; the aim is to make Karma Currency the most soulful, meaningful, environmentally friendly and enjoyable gift you can give. The gift that 'spreads the love'. And now with the Largest Gift Registry in the Southern Hemisphere you can spread the love even further with a Charitable Gift Registry. To find out more visit the Alzheimer's Australia Vic Karma Currency page.
